With our k-12 Contemporary program, our open call seeks submissions from exceptional educators and students in an elevated gallery setting. Our first show, from Lars Bergquist, features a gallery of paper birds created by the students of Nova High School.
Nova Painting project was completed during the 2025 Spring semester of the “”Grilla”” class taught by Lars Bergquist. The class focuses on basic mural making techniques and uses latex, acrylic and spray paint as vehicles for changing the environment in which we live.
Each student selected a bird and created it to scale on cardboard or matte board, using acrylic paint to render it. The project was focused on a monochromatic color scheme, with some students using a few extra colors on their bird.
