Mare Hirsch

Mare Hirsch is an artist whose practice is mediated by data, light, and sound, resulting in work that weaves together code, installation, and sculpture. Rooted in the California coast–now residing in Seattle–she explores the complex intersections of queerness, identity, and place. Mare holds a PhD in Media Arts & Technology from the University of California Santa Barbara and is currently an Assistant Professor of Art at the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, WA.
